About Andria Amador

Andria Amador Ed. D.

  Dr. Andria Amador is the Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services in the Boston Public Schools. Andria has served many roles in her state association, MSPA, and her national association, NASP. She currently is a Delegate Representative at NASP. Andria has received the Shattuck Public Service Award and the EdWeek Leaders to Learn From Award. She played an integral role in founding the Comprehensive Behavioral Health Model (CBHM) by leading this initiative and securing a $200,000 grant. With a rich educational background and extensive experience, Dr. Amador has emerged as a leading figure in the field and recognized for making a significant impact on the well-being of students within the Boston Public Schools.

Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services in the Boston Public Schools (2016-present):

As the Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services in Boston Public Schools, Dr. Amador has played a pivotal role in developing and implementing programs that address the emotional and psychological needs of students. Her leadership has resulted in improved student well-being and academic success.


Adjunct Faculty at Northeastern University (2022-present):

Dr. Amador's commitment to education extends beyond the K-12 settings. Her role as an Adjunct Faculty member at Northeastern University allows her to share her expertise with aspiring educators, shaping the next generation of professionals in her field.

 Assistant Director of Behavioral Health Services in the Boston Public Schools (2007-2016):

Before her current position, Dr. Amador served as the Assistant Director of Behavioral Health Services in Boston Public Schools, where she helped pioneer innovative approaches to address the behavioral and mental health needs of students.


School Psychologist  in the Boston Public Schools (1998-2007): 

 In her early career, Dr. Amador worked as a School Psychologist in Boston Public Schools, where she honed her skills and developed a deep understanding of the challenges students face.


School Psychologist Contractor in the Lawrence Public Schools (1996-1998):

 Dr. Amador began her career as a School Psychologist Contractor in Lawrence Public Schools, gaining valuable experience in diverse educational settings.
