
Lauren Cardone (she/hers) serves as Grant Manager for Boston Public Schools' Behavioral Health Services (BHS), where she co-leads the department's federally funded workforce development program activities and long-term development strategies. Her focus is on crafting communications that convey the value and innovation of BHS's programs and building new opportunities for cross-sector partnerships across local universities, behavioral health providers, and community organizations.
Previously, Lauren worked as a Program Officer with the Fulbright Program at the Institute of International Education, where she managed end-to-end grant operations for a multi-million dollar portfolio spanning more than 20 international partners. She brings deep expertise in grants management systems, data-informed decision-making, and team facilitation including over 90 hours of leading grant review committees.
Lauren holds an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she focused on global education and program evaluation. She also holds a BA in Humanitarian Studies from Fordham University, where she completed a thesis on global funding mechanisms for education in emergencies, the topic that inspired her career in the intersection of philanthropy and education.
